Weekly Round Up Links

A group of NYU students are working on a project to improve recycling in Stamford. Please take a minute to complete their survey.

Like your links a week old? Then check out a New York Times profile of the often rocky, sometimes lonely North Stamford.

Mill River restoration is set to start in March/ April, which means it should be underway by August. Why not just level the trees in the interim? If you let them bloom, you may have some crazy chained to them come spring.

Danny Boy is (maybe) taking it upstate.

And some observations (as pointed out by a anonymous commenter)

The hole is being filled in on the Ritz Carlton site. I'm taking this a another sign of further delay. A foundation would be going in that spot, not dirt, if it was truly ramping up.

Layla's Falafel is open downtown. Just like Gardening Catering they stay open past bar close. I made a stop there on Friday and I definately threw around "you know I have a website..." My dream of walking around town like Don Fanucci "just wetting my beak" remains unfullfilled.

Stamford Downtown Blog states the status of the Atlantic Cnetre project (Ritz etc) as : Estimated ground breaking 2012.

So I think you're right ; well it was very nice of them to at least fill in the hole in the ground!!

Yeah, the "I have a website" thing doesn't get you much around here, esp. when it's a blog!

At least you have got your A-team of eagle-eyed anonymous bloggers who can help provide the latest Stamford Gossip covering the full range of big to small headlines...ranging from ATMs at Curleys to Ritz project delays...

I agree that BlogStamford is the best in town. Stamford Talks is a close second. Disappointment of the year ; Mr Stamford who after a very promising start has disappeared without a trace..I thus have, with great regret, removed his link from my favorites.
