NY Times Hearts Monster B's

The New York Times takes notice of Monster B's and likes what it sees. I haven't been as much since my friend who lived around the corner moved. I agree the beer selection is great and the deck is nice, but to me the ambience is lacking. I feel like I'm in the family room of a McMansion when I'm there. Some Stop & Shop brand cola served by my friends mom would feel more comfortable in hand than a Belgian beer there.

Attending the recent Blog & Grog, it was my first time in Monster Bs. As I walked in the door, one of my best friends from high school yelled "YO (insert my last name nere), WHAT, ARE YOU HERE TO GET LAID?"

    Gotta love that.

I enjoyed my Blue Point IPA. It was cool and quite tasty. I didn't try the food. I loved seeing the train roll by as I sat on the patio.

Speaking of which, when are we going to get that beer??

Yes, the beer list is the best around. Actually, I kinda almost find it a little annoying, because even with my glasses on I can't figure out what's on tap. They really need a big chalk board over the bar so you can see what they have.

My biggest problem with the place is that I feel like I need to ride a Harley to walk in there. I mean, getting away from the Lower FF county scene is sometimes nice, but I'm not sure I want to hang out with bikers.
