Cornershop

It’s been some time that Landmark Square converted this:

Into this:

And half of that retail space is still empty. A bank branch took one side, because there aren’t enough bank branches in Fairfield County. An Urban Outfitters could be cool there. I’ll open it up to our blogosphere think tank, not to be confused with our real life Illuminati, what should move in?

Do you think the old school games is enough of a deterrent for the kids. I'm only down for the Arcade if its 21+. Do you really want to hand with the McDonalds crowd across the street?

Damn you Blog Stamford! You beat me to the Illuminati reference. I was about to post about that same article.

I've heard that there used to be an ice skating rink on the lower level of that corner. It would be to still have that...a little Rockefeller Center in the CTW.

As for an arcade, I would *LOVE* to see a Dave & Buster's come to Stamford. For those unfamiliar with D&B's, it's basically Chuck E. Cheese but for adults (or at least an older crowd). Not to beat a dead horse, but The Hole would be the perfect spot for a retail/entertainment/housing development - something like New Roc City but nicer. If they could incorporate a real movie theater and kill those horrible Bow Ties, even better!
